    Batch editing of Registry

I want to edit my registry to remove EVERY reference to a program which I have uninstalled, but which still has dozens (or more) of references still embedded in the registry.

Is there a registry editor in which I can enter one single word, and the editor will search out every mention of that one word-- and then permit me to delete all those entries at one time ???

CCleaner does a good job. It is not perfect, but if you uninstalled the software and then deleted the directory, CCleaner will try to remove all references to it in the registry. This is fairly safe way to go. If you are and expert in the registry there are more powerful tools however you MUST know what you are doing or you can BSOD your machine quickly.
