    Autoruns

I was told that running Autoruns would be much better than the basic msconfig and being I have little experience I thought I would ask anyone who knows or may already be running Autoruns. my system is:
Gateway NV54/ dual core/250 GB HDD
    os/windows 7 upgraded from vista

Auto runs is used by many members, at this forum and another that I frequent. I have heard many good things about Auto Runs and nothing derogatory. I suggest that you give it a try. I think that you will like it.

As a futher suggestion, before you download, make a system restore point. If it is not to your liking you can always, go back with system restore and everything will be gone. Nothing left in the registry and no remnants elsewhere.

Note that Autoruns doesn't install - it uses just a single registry key. Also, watch what you untick - if you any help just ask.

+1: I love this program and have used it a lot. The author of the software is wonderful and has updated it quickly when I found something wrong. It is a stand-alone application so there is no risk. I have it on my USB drive and use it on other's computers all the time.
