Must Have's
What Software do you guys think is a must have in your opinion for Windows 7?
Personally, the first few things i download when making a new install are always,
WinRAR, FireFox, Chrome, Pidgeon, GIMP, TerraCopy, Foxit Reader, Tirminal, LogMeIn Free, Hamachi, and Shredder,/Thunderbird
Im sure you've heard of most of them, but Terminal [http://www.tirminal.com/] is a great file sharing program, not p2p really... more of a i want to share this file with a friend, but its too big to e-mail. you have tirminal installed, but they just click your link, gets through firewalls instantly, and is safe, and can be further protected to your liking. logmein free is great if you leave your computer on. Hamachi isnt for everyone... some people dont have a use for it.... but worth looking into...
since ima deal with multimedia stuff. heres what i got:
camtasia studio 6, mse, vlc media player, about to get photohshop cs4 extended, winrar, microsoft office 2010 beta. pretty much thats it for me. im planning on starting my codmw2 gameplay recordings so ima get dazzle dvd recorders (i was going to get easycap but too much negitivity about it and the dazzle creator thing is too much) so i use the programs about to have it all set up for my editing, recording and putting videos together programs for youtube
Aside from AntiVirus & Games, the first things i always install are:
1. Acronis True Image
2. Perfect Disk
3. MeGUI / AviSynth
4. Nero9
5. Shark007 Codecs
6. Zune
7. Paint.NET
8. 7-Zip x64
This is what I install from a fresh OS installation...
Firefox
Thunderbird
Openoffice
Foxit Reader
Irfanview
7Zip
AVG
Klite Codec Pack with Media Player Classic
Foobar2000
CCleaner
iTunes Just because of my iPod
