    Adobe Reader 9.3.1 Windows 7 64-bit problems

I am still having problems with Adobe Reader and even Adobe Acrobat.

Acrobat 9.3 crashes when I use it on my home computer. Opening any PDF file will result with a crash.

With Internet Explorer, I have to run IE as an admin in order for it to work properly and not crash a tab when I open up a PDF file.

Yes I know I can use Foxit Reader or whatever other alternative there is but I feel that Reader and Acrobat should work, period. Is there any other workaround for this?

    wow, you are really observant....:)

Why don't you use Revo uninstaller to completely uninstall adobe reader, and then completely install it again?

Nocturnal1 I suggest you close this post and stick with your original as this can get very confusing. Case in point... I not sure where to post my qustion to you on your problem but I've made my post there.

After much troubleshooting, the best solution we found was to download and install Adobe 8.2 which works flawlessly. It is the fully patched version of version 8 so security is not a big problem.
The issue is to download version 8.2, you have to tell the current Adobe downloader that your OS is Windows 2003. If you do, it gives you the option of downloading Reader 9.3 OR 8.2.

    Installed 8.2 and everything works.
