    Is Foxit Reader Safe?

Is Foxit safe to use. I know Adobe had problems with hacks and many updates to fix. I am curious if Foxit can also be exploited with a hacked PDF file.

No it is not. It's also vulnerable to exploits. At least the ones that haven't been fixed by the software developer anyway.

That being said, I use FoxIt over Acrobat.

its about as safe as any other pdf reader... but i use foxit, because (in my experience) it opens pdf's quicker than adobe, especially ones opened directly from the net

I use FoxIT as well. It's so much faster and smaller than Adobe's product...so it fits my style a whole heck of a lot better.

After a little research I found this about FoxIt. It seams they did have some security problems and they have been addressed. As long as they stay on top of the issues I think I will give FoxIt a try.

I find adobe reader to be better for usage. If you open a pdf file with adobe reader and foxit, you will find that foxit uses less memory initially. However, if your pdf file is long, like many pages long, if you scroll all the way down the document, you shall see moderate increase in ram usage for adobe reader and huge increase in ram for foxit.

    Just my suggestion =)

Sumatra PDF reader supposedly does not have the security issues found in Adobe products. I have been using it for a couple of months with no issues.
