    YIM! 10 Issues

First, I want to say that I have contacted Yahoo! and posted on Yahoo! Answers. I have absolutely no faith in Yahoo! helping me - they never have in the past no matter how simple the question.

    Okay, here's my issue.

When I log into YIM and IM a contact, the window opens up to the size I want it to be, but a contact IMs me, the chat window pops up super tiny, like 2x2 inches on the screen.

I am well aware of how to drag the window to the size I want it, the problem is that any time I close the window (even after sizing it up) and the contact IMs me again, the window pops up super tiny again no matter how many times I size it up.

This has happened randomly ever since I installed YIM10, but now its happening all the time, every time.

I have CTRL+dragged it and then closed the window while holding down CTRL, but that doesnt seem to do anything.

In case you were wondering why I mentioned that, I had an issue with IE8 coming up weird no matter how many times I resized it, so I had to reset the window size via regedit, then CTRL+dragged and CTRL+closed the window and it set the size to what I wanted.

    Can any one help?

To control the size of a window, right click the program and click on properties. Make sure it is running on a normal window. Even if it says normal window, just change it to full screen, then change back to normal window and click apply (just to be sure). Your Yahoo instand messenger should then run in normal size.

Hi all, I know this is a REALLY old post, but I'm still currently having issues.

My above original post still stands (Yahoo! has told me that I basically have to reset the entire messenger, which means I'll lose everything on YIM - which wouldnt be a problem if there wasnt stuff I needed to keep - stuff thats imbedded in the messenger that I cant just save). What Pichu suggested no longer works.

I have tried running it in compatibility mode and not. I've run it in Windows XP (which seemed to give me the least amount of issues up until recently) and then in Vista and its still happening.

At one point it started happening all the time again, but I went into IE and added Yahoo! as a safe site. That was months ago. It helped for a while, but now its happening almost every time again and yeah, Yahoo! is still marked as a safe site.

Does any one have anything else I can try? Something in the regedit? Anything?

PS. If I dont reply right away, I apologize... my computer has to go into the shop for an unrelated hardware issue (I think the fan is partially clogged and I cant get to it myself like I could with my old laptop cause HP doesnt build their notebooks/laptops to allow for that. And blowing it out doesnt do any good) so I'll be with out it until probably this coming Friday.

But please, if you have something, reply and I will get to it when I get my computer back!!
