    uTorrent and BSOD

Hey guys, I was wondering, has anyone else had a problem with uTorrent giving them a BSOD after about 2 minutes? It'll be running fine then all of a sudden *BAM* dead, and it references AVGWFPX.SYS every time. I tried doing a system restore and running as administrator, but nothing works. I've even tried using different clients and it still crashes, uTorrent, bitcomet, the original Bittorrent. Any help would be wonderful, thanks.

Add utorrent to AVG's exception not to scan and see if you still get the BSOD.

    Hi,
I'm using uTorrent since the first day I installed Win 7, never had a BSOD so far.

Not sure, but maybe it could be a compatibility issue on your system. Are you running other, recently installed programs (except AVG) when it crashes? Or did you install any other software / drivers, shortly before it crashed for the first time?

utorrent was the third program i installed, first firefox, then AVG and like I said before it happens with every client too. Disabling AVG didn't help either, still dead. I'll try uninstalling AVG and seeing where it goes from there. Anyone have some suggestions for free AV software?

thanks dude, it's been going for about 5 minutes now crash free without AVG installed. It's too bad really, I like AVG but I'll try out Avast, here's some rep for both of you.

AVG + uTorrent running here without any issues so I'm not sure that is your problem. However if Avast works for you, go for it.

I have been running uTorrent since I installed without a problem, think it might be something else causing your problem.
