I have been using CCleaner Enhancer for awhile...
CCleaner Enhancer works with either the installed version or the portable version of CCleaner, and what it does is modify the WinApp2.ini file to allow extra rules adding potential support for more than 270 applications to the program. The rules were sourced mainly from the Piriform Support Forum, with several sourced from other places around the internet.
This is my CCleaner installation's applications list after using CCleaner Enhancer and the entries that CCleaner Enhancer added are marked with an * and I have highlighted them...
Out of the 270+ additional applications that could potentially be added by CCleaner Enhancer I have 10 of them installed on my computer as indicated in the screenshot above. So far I've seen the highest number of new files detected for removal by CCleaner from the Windows Update Logs, but there have also been files from GIMP and Macromedia Flash 10.
So what's the big deal? I've been using CCleaner every day for over 2 years and for me it was the first opportunity I've ever come across to be able to double the number of applications in its cleaning roster and as a result see 10-15 MB of new and never before detected files that CCleaner is now able to find and offer for deletion each and every day all for free just like CCleaner is. So far on my Win 7 x64 computer CCleaner Enhancer has upgraded the quality of CCleaner's already solidly sterling performance to golden...
