    It may have been something removed in the registry that should not have beed. A System Restore should be able to take care of that for you.

    Hi Shawn ,

    I run CCleaner from the recycle bin at the end of every session.

    The uac prompt pops up every time. It's not a big deal, but has anyone found a way of allowing indvidually selected apps. to run without prompts on 7 ?

    Hello SIW2,

    I do not know it the free program Norton UAC Tool will work in Windows 7, but it allowed you to add programs to a UAC exception list in Vista. You might give it a try to see how it works.
