Latest CCleaner Version Released

I'm wondering why the latest version of CCleaner is only 1/2 the size of the most recently released versions?

That is curious..

Perhaps they streamlined the code. In preparation for their talked about 3.0 version maybe?

Maybe somebody finally realized it was time to undefine DEBUG during the compile? Heh heh.

Hmmmmm, looks like an imcomplete download or something. I just checked their site and it's listed at 3xxx KB.

CCleaner v2.36.1233 is still listed as a 1.13 MB download at Filehippo

That is strange. I also had the 1.13MB download, and it works just fine.

But yeah, it's now listed as 3349kb on the Piriform site. Filehippo still shows it as 1.13MB, but with download link from Piriform itself is 3.27MB. Guess I'll re-install that one.

You're right it is strange because I've been using the 1.33 MB version 2.36.1233 and it works perfectly fine. Here's how it looks installed on my Win 7 desktop...



Please let us know if the larger version is somehow different.

Didn't see any difference, but I think I figured out why.

I think filehippo posted up the slim edition of it, not the normal edition. And didn't specify that fact. If you take a look at the slim version size and compare the size of it on filehippo, same exact size. So don't think there's anything wrong with either edition.
