    Winapp2.ini - trim

    lehnerus2000 said:
When I downloaded that file something (Windows Explorer?) had a fit.

The content vanished from the windows of various programs (e.g. Winamp & Notepad++).
    It got better though. :)

    Update
The setup procedure for trim.bat was a little confusing.

It seems to have improved the performance of CCleaner + CCEnhancer significantly though. :)
Using that batch file to trim winapp2.ini is somewhat confusing so it's probably better to use the trim function in CCEnhancer if you've got it installed. The other thing that I forgot to mention is that it's best to copy your existing winapp2.ini file before trimming so that you've got a backup. If something goes wrong it's possible to delete the winapp2.ini file and download a new one!

Have to agree with Steph and all the comments re 8 look am not real keen and it sort of smacks a little of the phone app too simple and not that it is such a bad thing extremely quick even using the multiple pass clean option.
I know my phone would not have that much to clear but even so makes you wonder what is coming.

What I am also thinking is - is the GUI going to carry through to Windows 10?? All in all I prefer the "boxed" look versions.

I was thinking of upgrading to pro and I notice when I try to buy it, it only offers me the pro version but not the pro plus version, which offers file recovery and other diagnostic tools. I was just wondering if both of these are equally safe for my system, Windows 7 Home Premium SP1. I assumed that the reason it only offered the pro and not pro plus is that maybe the pro plus isn't compatible with my system. ?

I just clicked on the Buy link on the Pro Plus and could have bought it. Piriform does not list it by that name in their banner dropdown menus.

Good for you. It didn't for me. I found the comparison here. The files to download, pro and pro plus are named the same and seem to be the same size too.

Still wondering if both products are equally good in Win7 home premium sp1... anyone tried both versions?

Except recover accidentally deleted files? But maybe there's a way I don't know about (which wouldn't be surprising):)
