    Hi,

It may be you have not set Ccleaner to Run as Admin.

In the start search box, type C: then select Program Files (x86)> open the Ccleaner folder> rt click Ccleaner.exe>select Properties>Compatibility tab>tick Run as Admin box>Apply>OK.

IF it still does not work and you have ownership of the recycle bin as described in my earlier post, you can use this .reg file.

Download the file, rt click and Extract , then double click the .reg file. Click Yes at the warning.

    AddCCleanerToRBin.zip

    Hope it helps

    Hi hybridfan,

You took permission in the registry and added ccleaner to the recycle bin by ticking the boxes in the program?

Not sure why the .reg file didn't work. What did the message say when you tried to merge it?

Are you using 32 or 64 bit ?

    Thanks

    Hi SIW2

Weird now it seems .reg merging can work :| I will leave registry alone for now me thinks, seems like dangerous territory... lol Thanks for the help though bud.

    Hi hybridfan,

You had to take ownership before using the .reg file, then you could either use that, or tick the boxes in Ccleaner - does the same thing.

Yes, you're right - good idea not to dig around in the registry unless you know exactly what you are doing in there.

    Hope it helps
