    Schedule a program to start

Can I set up a schedule using task scheduler to have a disk imaging program start up on a specific day and not start up every day?I only do a disk image on one day for a few hours and having it run all the time uses up memory which is not necessary.
    Can it be done?

    Hi Terry,
Yes, you can. Go to Task Scheduler and Click on Create Basic Task. Then just follow the wizard, you'll have the option of scheduling it weekly and you can start it on the day you want it to run so every week, it'll run on the same day.
IDK, what program you are using, but for task scheduling it should be an online solution i.e. capable of imaging while windows is running. E.g. Macrium reflect and DriveimageXML are online capable.

Thanks for the quick reply,,I am using Laplink DiskImage and am familiar with using task sceduler but wasn't sure about removing Laplink from the startup menu.
    I'll give it a try.
