    Error 1706


    Error 1706-capture.png Hi guys, i keep getting this error whenever i try to go to my control panel or play a movie. Could someone tell me how to rectify this please?

    First thing I'd try is download and run malwarebytes antimalware:

    Malwarebytes

    If you google you'll see a bunch of these errors with different versions of "searchsettings.exe"

    supposedly it's a trojan.
