I may give this a shot again, but I am wondering about the 64bit compatibility, and also wondering if VCD was also causing it fits....

Hmm, i have had Daemon-Tools Lite installed on my 7127 x64 (everything worked fine) and upgraded to 7137... Daemon Tools was not working anymore so i tried to uninstall it, but the deinstall-progress looped forever so i canceld it and deleted the folder and every entry in the registry that i could find....
Then i tried to install DTL again (Version 4.30.4 with SPTD 1.58) but i got the same problem as the threadstarter... So i looked in my Device Manager and there was a corruptet non-plug-and-play driver called spldr or sptd (i'm not sure...) an i deleted this driver and installed SPTD 1.58 without DT. After a reboot there was a non-p'n'p driver called "Security Processor Loader Driver
" (maybe this has nothing to do with SPTD or DT...!? ) but the SPTD-installer sayed that it didn't found a version of SPTD...
So i guess the SPTD-installation is not working alright....
Someone an idea?

1. Delete Reg HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\sptd
(if can not delete \sptd, you must take ownership of \sptd)

2. Remove non-plug-and-play driver sptd in Device Manager(show hiden device in view).

3. Reboot and then delete C:\Windows\System32\drivers\sptd.sys

4. Download Daemon Tools 4.30.4 and reinstall.

So I downloaded Daemon Tools Lite... their site says it supports Windows 7 and all. Well I go to install it, and Windows says it has known compatibility issues. I ignored it and installed it, and it seems to work fine. So what's up with the warning? Is it because Daemon Tools doesn't...
