    winrar right click menu issue

i notice that through every version since 7000, i have to select the option twice, from the right click menu. the first time does nothing. then i right click again, select extract, and it works. very strange, 3 different machines i've tested, winrar 3.80

    Visit 7-Zip

The program does everything that winrar or winzip can do and it is free and open source and runs great on Win 7.

I opened a multi rar iso a few days ago with 7-zip that had 22 parts with no problem. Sorry it did not work for you.

I have never had any problem with WinRAR extracting on the first try - and I RAR everything on my own unless a third party only has access to .ZIP extractors.

Have you tried uninstalling it and then reinstalling it? Also, if it was an incompatibility with the OS art any given time and you keep upgrading, you're pretty much assuring that the incompatibility carries forward. In other discussions throughout the forum, the *recommended* testing path for Win7 is to perform clean installs every time....

happens on 3 win7 machines, running 7068. and it's only the context menu that gives the problem
