Samurize work great under Vista and Seven

I don't remember but you myabe have to install it with admin privileges in compatibility mode.

After that, what i understand in you post is that you don't know how Samurize work

Just installing it is not enought. You need to load a "Samurize Client" with a "Samurize config". You can do it with the Instantmanager executable, and try some of the example config that comes with samurize.
You'll find lot of help, config and plug-in on the official webiste of Samurize

huh ? the Windows one ?
    No.. noway

Your samurize config is nice, I really like the clock

Just on thing: is the date/time on the top-right a part of your config ?
If yes you better have to make this with a second config.
2 little client use less ressource than one big all over the screen.

For the plugin/scripts... it's as you need. I can't telle you which is better or not, because it's all depends off what you want.
Take a look to the download section on the official website. Maybe will you find some funny idea

i'd love to use samurize in windows 7, but like all 3rd party widget apps, everything disappears when you use aero peek to check out the desktop. kind of frustrating that only windows gadgets stick to the desktop...
