    Genie Timeline

I just grabbed a copy of Genie Timeline for file backups. It's doing it now but at the rate it's going, it's gonna take hours! I used to use Second Copy which is brilliant but am having problems with it on Win7 x64. Anyone used Genie before? I understand that once this done, incremental backups henceforth will be quick but honestlt this is far too slow.

If it's anything like Time Machine on a Mac the first backup will take for an average user about 4 hours but I'm guessing for those of us who fill 1TB HDD in days it may take longer, it took me backing up about a 1.2TB of stuff from various dives a good 24 hours .

If it is also anything like Time Machine incremental backups will take virtually no time at all; for instance it only takes about 40 seconds to complete an incremental backup for me.

You have to remember it's basically making a copy of your entire drive.

My data is on it's own drive and there's only 22GB on it. It has an indicator telling which file it's copying and it takes maybe 4 secs to complete! Maybe it's just me but I find that quite poor. I need this kind of program tho and read good things about Genie. Nowhere did I read any complaints like this. Maybe I have more reading to do.
