Windows 7: Free DVD Decrypt and MP4 converter

For the decryption part DVDFAb HD Decrypter (free) works fine on Win 7 x64.

I did try that but you have to run the whole DVD through the decrypter and save a new version to your HD before you can rip it to mp4. So every DVD takes twice as long as the background decrypter.

It would apear it is not possible to view DVD with a virtual PC so this ca't be done. So I'll be purchasing one of the suggested background decypters. Thanks to everyone for input. Mike

I am looking for free softwear that would convert a dvd I burned to 'PAL' or 'AVI' so I could watch it on my DVD player. I tried downloading a few such a AVC and CUDA and Realplayer but when I opened them conversion to either of these formats did not appear as an option. Any advice appreciated
