Adobe Reader Annoying Installation Error

I have been trying to install adobe reader for the past month or so and everytime error 1935 pops up and rolls back the installation. So far I have tried a command in cmd suggested by adobe but that didn't fix the issue... anyone else have same problem?? any fix??

The usual cause is a disruption in the download process by something running on your computer. Turn off anti virus and firewall. If that does not work try to download in Safe Mode.

I've been using FoxIt reader for a long time. Might be worth a look:

Thanks, Rich, for posting this info... it did the trick. Funny thing is, I downloaded the whole ~27MB file before running it, but it hung during "Processing" at 100% and wouldn't move, meanwhile all 4 cores were whirring away at something. Didn't occur to me that it was still trying to access the 'net. Rebooted, turned off Panda, tried again and away it went.

Thanks again, and repped!

Its always nice to get rep, but the real reward, for the membership, comes from that smile, that we know you had, when your computer began to work properly. Thanks for letting us know and thanks for the rep.
