Windows 7: a decent webcam program

a decent webcam program

i had hp mediasmart webcam and it does work, but video recording disables the "Stop Recording" button -_- and taking pictures, the resolution is down to 320 x 240 and it's unchangeable.

i've been getting issues with the hp camera switching resolutions (unchangeable) by itself from 176 x 144 to 320 x 240 and then to 640 x 480 (<- this one i want) but luckily i found it at 640 today!

so all i am asking for is a webcam program that is decent and can take pictures / videos. live stream/upload/extra web features are really not necessary for what a simple web cam program.

video compression would be nice since hp has video compression

GIF Re-sizer -- I Really Need a Decent One -- Please Help
Hi all Yes, I really need a program that can do this. This is, quite literally, the only thing that I need it to do (if it does more, great!) -- just make GIFs bigger and makes GIFs smaller. I loathe GIMP. My PC is pretty fast, but using GIMP it was like I had a foot in the 1980's. I...

Chillout Room
My Asus Lifeframe stopped working when I upgraded from Vista to 7. Are there any good free Cam programs out there to download similar to life frame? I would be using it mostly to record video and take pictures. Not so much for chatting. I liked that life frame gave a big screen view of what was...

PC Custom Builds and Overclocking
Better and Really FAST DECENT Search program works on both X-86 and X-64 all builds.
Actually isn't it a bit confusing calling X-86 the 32 bit version whilst X-64 (a lower number) refers to the 64 bit version -- it's a bit like counting in Chinese (sorry any chinese folks reading this). I know historically it referrs to the Intel 8086 processor and all its subsequent developments...
