Hmmm...went to purchase CS4 upgrade at a local retail store only to find out they were out of stock. I normally do research before making such purchases, but obviously missed this.... till now. Somebody was looking out for me

    Phew!!!

I bought CS4 at the end of February thinking CS5 wouldn't be out until August/September.
With that info I'd of waited, unless you had no photoshop and absolutely needed one.

    I'm still using CS2 under W7 x64 without issue.

    Yes, it is.

is there any link for trial?
Trials are not avaible yet, they will be after 30 days
    Not from what i read.
CS5 will start shipping in the end of may, and then, after that date, there will be a trial available within 30 days

I'm wondering, should I buy CS4 now and get the free upgrade, or wait for sales on CS4?

If you plan on buying CS4, then wait until CS5 is fully out. CS4 will drop in price by almost half. And its not a free upgrade. Its still about 200$ average per program for an upgrade, or 900$ for the MC CS4 upgrade.
