    Hello Welcome to SF !!

I guess the crash is poiting to quartz.dll which is a part of Direct X. I would recommed to reinstall Direct X components if you have installed any. Also have you installed any recent codec like K-lite or VLC or Shark etc. If so uninstall it and see whether that makes any difference. Also i would recommend to run System Integrity Checker

Start > Run > CMD >Right Click and Run as administrator > SFC/ SCANNOW

    Hope this helps,
    Captain

Ran sfc and 2 files were found to be corrupt and so was the "source file in store". The files were quartz.dll and networkexplorer.dll. Having an issue uninstalling Sharky because the only option I get is "Repair"

Hello !! Welcome to SF !!

Go to Start | Event Viewer | Windows Logs | Application and check for Errors and post them here. Maybe the issue would be same but the cause might be different so we have to do thing differently. Also i would recommend to run System Integrity Checker

Start | CMD | Right Click and Run as administrator | SFC /SCANNOW

    Hope this helps,

I have this same issue with explorer crashing, but it's not quite with video files.. It's just in general. I cannot copy or delete anything without it crashing.
    Here's my details:
Faulting application name: SearchIndexer.exe, version: 7.0.7600.16385, time stamp: 0x4a5bd212
Faulting module name: KERNELBASE.dll, version: 6.1.7601.18015, time stamp: 0x50b8479b
    Exception code: 0xc0000005
    Fault offset: 0x0000000000009e5d
    Faulting process id: 0x8fc
    Faulting application start time: 0x01ce9b6bd5b68fde
    Faulting application path: C:\Windows\system32\SearchIndexer.exe
    Faulting module path: C:\Windows\system32\KERNELBASE.dll
    Report Id: 2328a2cf-075f-11e3-ba7c-6c626d37a5b8

Also I have run the System Integrity Checker, and I'm not sure what to do after it's done.. The log is attached.. Help?
