Opinions on Advanced System Care Pro?

Just curious, im thinking of getting this program, my friend swears that its single handedly responsible for keeping his computer in perfect "health", but id like to get a few opinions from anyone who uses it.

also, does anyone know if the built in defragger is "prefetch aware"? again from my friend, he reckons it is. we tried to test it by doing a defrag with ASC then analyzing the disk with windows (which obviously is prefetch aware) and it showed 0% fragmentation, so it looks like it is.

    anyway! opinions please :)

I like what it can do. It actually found a bmp file (1.bmp) in my system 32 folder and also a dead registry link for one of those fake antivirus software trojans that Kaspersky stopped a few months ago.

I have been using Driver Detective for a couple of years now and there were always a large quantity of drivers that it couldn't update or detect as being updated. Then I tried a trial version of Uniblue's software and their driver detector told me that my system was up to date. When I tried system mechanic Pro, it detected all the driver's that Driver Detective reported and was able to download and update them automatically without issue. Driver Detective now reports that my drivers are up to date. So I prefer System Machanic's driver updater and can depend on it more than the other ones I have tried.

System Mechanic did cause me a problem in which it secured certain sharing policies so that Goodsync could no longer sync my laptop to my home computer over my home network, but all I had to do was use it's system backup feature to roll it back to the setting I did have. If you are going to use their tweaking recommendations, create a backup and it will get you back out of any tweak that you regret.

The system cleaner feature is very good and found roughly one halve of a gig worth of dead files and folders when I set it find more than what was the default. I do like to have a system backup when I do stuff like this.

I have tested System Mechanics registry cleaner against ccleaner, Windows 7 Manager, and JV16 Powertools 2009, and they all seem to find stuff that the others have missed, but System Mechanic always comes back with more.

I like the program. Just use common sense and keep backups of your system just in case something happens and does happen from time to time with any system cleaner.

I have tried both system mechanic and advanced system care. In it is best if you dont touch the registry, in my case after two weeks of using System mechanic pro I had to make a clean install. I didnt have any problem with advanced system care though, but I rarely use it registry cleaner.

    Advanced system care pro

this software is one of my favorites and there are lots of features included so you probably wont need any other cleaning softwares if you have them.

its nice and very reliable. it helps to remove lots of rootkits and spyware programs.

its does keep the computer fresh from clogged up files.

This is the maintain windows area which cleans your computer in general.

This is more in detail and helps to remove more persistant problems. the disk defragmenter is surprisingly quick and very efficient

It also offers lots of extras which help keep you computer in perfect shape.

In conclusion, a perfect piece of software to get and so reliable.

    Thats my review!

I have now used this software for 18 months now, I highly recommend it, because I'm an typical student I didn't pay for it and obtained it using "other means". It cleans registry, junk files, degragments the registry normal stuff like that, basicly its a better version of Ccleaner in my opinion (:

Be very careful with defragmenting the registry. Win 7 is not XP. The registry neither needs defragged nor cleaned. Win 7 manages the registry very efficiently and effectively. Forget all you learned about XP; it does not apply to Win 7.

A seven guru buying stuff like advanced system care pro? What exactly do you mean by "good health"? And what exactly bothers you about your system that makes you want to buy this?
