    How can I lock my folders??


    ^ I need a way to lock or hide them. Is there a solid program for this? Preferably free.

    How hidden do you need them to be? If you need secure, use an encryption program such as the free Truecrypt.

    If other users have administrative rights on the computer you can't lock them ( The other user could get into them no matter what you do.) Encryption software is the only option. I also recommend truecrypt.

hi guys, do any of you know a way how or if you can lock or protect individual files or even whole folders with a password or other means? intended for a home pc which everyone uses but i do not want the others at home have access to certain files or folders?
I was messing around with WMP12, and ended up accidentally sharing all of my libraries. Oops! I unshared them all, however ever since that happened all of the folders now have the 'lock' icon over them. The only way I can seem to get rid of them, is to reshare.. which I don't want to do. Anyone...
im getting annoyed, some random video folders, game folders i have, appear with a folder with a lock!? whyyy? i have 20 folders of videos, and 2 have locks on the icon, why is this happening? I just moved another folder now it has a lock on it too wth?! :mad: anyone know whats going on...
