Unwanted theme change - software induced

When I fire up Intralink for use with Pro/Engineer, my Windows theme changes from an Aero theme to what appears to be Windows 7 Basic. Is there a way to stop this from happening? There are other graphical anomolies that seem to be introduced because of this. I'm using Win7 x64 Professional and an FX1800 video card.

    Thanks

Windows is automatically disabling Aero due to a known/potential conflict with the program. It should re-enable when the program is closed.

It does re-enable Aero after closing it. I was wondering if there is a way to prevent it from disabling Aero. I want to be able to see what the problems are.

The problem solutions are limited to the app developers.

Aero is processed in the GPU, not the CPU.
