Windows 7

bah. tomorrow ill boot up my old laptop with the cracked screen and plug it into my spair small screen and download it to my school flash drive. i jsut hope its big enough, only 1gb. maybe i will borrow a friends that has a 30gb.

and i understand the need to do it, im jsut to lazy. I've reinstalled windows on old computers all added up at least 5 times in the past 6 years. so pretty much a yearly thing.

the biggest bummer is that this computer is ony 5 months old. so i think first i will order the recover disks from the manufacturer for $20 (dont want to use teh create myself option, my luck some virus would destroy those) and reboot the hard drive, THEN do all of this

Windows 7 Large files stuck in "mapped files" / "stand-by"
Afternoon, I'm a bit boggled by this issue we are having on a PC at our office. It seems that the PC normally will boot up and the memory usage will be low 2 GB / 16 GB until 10-12 minutes go by then it shoots up 11 GB / 16 GB. It's really odd and I can't explain it, since no applications are...

SFC log lists 4 "corrupted" files, or maybe not - Altering Core Files
I just ran SFC first time. It reports 4 "corrupted" core files. The machine is one month old, directly from Dell. No apparent previous or current issues. Looking at the report, the "corrupted" files appear related to gpedit. As you see to the left, my machine is 7 x64 home premium, which...
