What kind of software do you WANT? Many bandwidth monitor for Windows does just that, monitor your bandwidth... If you want something a bit more elaborate, you need an appliance, not a software...

Ps. Reading "nope. thanx 4 trying" kinda hurts... I'm here trying to help, not trying to compete in a competition...

try Hoo NetMeter, you can configure it to send you an email or play a noise when you hit the specified limit

I am looking for something similar, I have at the moment
    Broadband Usage Meter
It is more simple than the other programs, BUT I had a better one a few years ago, had more features where you got alarms when nearing a usuage limit ect.

Anyway Neoasr tell me what you think, is this more allong the lines of what you where looking for? if so i will post the other software from years ago which I prefer to use, but the one above is very simple and displays the data usage.

@neoasr - rather than just saying 'no thanks' or similar, it would be more helpful if you told us what you didn't like about people's suggestions.

    -------------

it really should be down to the isp to provide some means of keeping track of usage, either through providing some online meter on their website, or providing a decent modem/router which keeps count.

but i suppose they profit when you 'go over', so they don't have much incentive...

an old isp used to send me an email when i hit 80% of my limit - luckily now i can eat as much as i want. :)

Honestly, I am surprised anyone keeps helping, given your responses, but I guess that's a testament to the people here. The suggestions you were given will all do what you asked. So unless you plan to be more specific with what need they do not fulfill, you aren't likely to get any more help.

Since civility went out the window, have you considered switching to a Broadband company that doesn't have such a pathetically low limit?
