    Uninstall problem

"Uninstall a program" seems to include only a few programs - not all the ones I have installed. e.g. "Windows Messenger" - which I accidentally installed whilst trying to download "Windows Live Mail". How get rid?

    Which Messenger

Rather than make assumptions as to - very specifically - what messenger to which you are referring, you might consider this article which seems to cover the gamut.

Many of the MS programs are included in windows live essentials.

In addition, you may want to use one of the best unintallers and not the one in the control panel.

If you have a 64bit Win7, you need Revo Pro. For a 32bit system you can work with free Revo - it will work in a 64bit system, but only for the x86 program files.

    Hello Gepy,

It will be listed as Windows Live Esentials instead in Programs and Features. After you select it, you will have an opiton to select Windows Live Messenger to uninstall.

    Hope this helps,

Just to make things clear, I once had a problem removing Windows Live Essentials. When I try to remove it with add/remove programs, nothing would happen, it won't uninstall and it didn't show me anything that will make me choose which of the Windows Live applications I wanted to uninstall. I had to remove it with Revo Uninstaller but re-running the wlsetup.web, the setup still thinks that I still have the applications installed. Better get the large file setup for installation than the wlset.web which downloads and installs.
