freezes up a lot.run Norton in both regular a safe mode.cures it for 15-20 min and starts freezing up again.And the mouse gets to a point I cannot control it.

When I first installed windows it started to work just fine but I soon noticed that it would randomly freeze every 15-30...
sorry to be like the other other posts but my windows 7 keeps freezing also, more and more each day. its mainly my girlfriend who uses it to watch tv series nothing too demanding and some really bad freezes/glitches, have no idea. run various spyware / virus / defragging / reg & cache cleaning...
No idea why this started happening- installed a new cpu cooler, booted up, and my system now reliably freezes within 7 mins of booting up not in Safe Mode.
No BSOD, just a freeze rquiring a hard restart.
My most frequent error is Service Control Manager: 7001,

i started using win 7 in July 2008 from the beginning and it was good no problem at all till 15 November started freezing after my graphic card fan had stopped working and i repaired it but the freezing is still driving me crazy:cry: till now.
