Startup Repair Trouble

I thought perhaps something jiggled loose during the move, but how can that explain system files integrity check?

Static electricity is a problem here and I have no reliable anti-static guard besides a little wrist strap which doesn't clip on well to anything. So, I am weary of touching any internal components in event I ruin something in the case

I probably will take the computer somewhere that has the right safe guards and help me reseat anything that may be loose and clean any dust off the cpu fan heatsink.

Altitude and humidity may have a plan but I'm 99.9% sure it has nothing to do with your issues.

I don't believe it is a software issue but a motherboard hardware issue.
I would go into the bios and verify that the USB ports are on as well as the legacy USB.

Being the computer has been on the move I'd make sure everything inside is cleaned. I mean low presure air to blow out any dust that may build up.
I have actually seen a computer stop from booting because of a clump of dust around 2 pins on the motherboard.
Funny you mentioned static. That definitely could have caused a chip to fail that manage your keyboard.
I think like you suggested you should take it to a professional and have them check it out.

Turns out I overreacted to a crash (which could have been dust) and subsequent keyboard with dead batteries. The desktop is fine after the dust was cleaned out. :)
