Adobe CS4 Master Collection not uninstalling

    Hey all,

I am having a helluva time with CS4 right now, and I'm having two issues.

    1) The licensing information for everything that requires a license is not accepting the license, which I called Adobe (who was no help) and they confirmed that the license was working properly on there end.

    2) CS4 will not uninstall so I can re-install. When I try to uninstall I get an message that says "Stop running this script? A script on this page is causing your web browser to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer might become unresponsive. Yes or No?" When no is selected 3 times a new error comes up saying "System Check Critical errors were found in setup for Adobe Creative Suite 4 Master Collection: The installer database is invalid: please re-install the product from the original media. Please see the Setup log file for details. Click quit to exit setup.

2B) When yes is selected the status bar on preparing to uninstall goes to the end as if to be finished and just sits there. The program responds however it just sits there.

I'm really at a loss, have been on the phone with Adobe for 5 hours today alone and I'm running out of patience with them. 2 questions I have is does anyone know how to fix this, and does anyone know where the Setup Log is located for CS4? If I can find it maybe I can post that result and someone who knows logs might be able to see what I cannot see. Thanks.

You are correct. Add/remove does not work...I was more-so thinking just rebooting and starting over. I've had a few issues over the past few months with this program and I think I'm going to do a backup of all of the files and documents and restore to factory settings. It was a cyberhack version of photoshop that was supposed to make everything faster and it screwed everything up since and now I believe it's time to rid the beast of evil...
