    Belarc Advisor

Windows Vista Home Premium. Installed Belarc Advisor.
    Upgraded to Windows 7.

Anyone know why the Belarc Advisor states that I have Windows Vista?

Suspect that Belarc is reading some registry keys that are leftovers from Vista.

Also, I think, the Kernel is still 6.1 as with Vista. So it could just be detecting the Core version and seeing that it matches Vista's, reports it as Vista.

Wonder whether the problem occurs on clean win7 installs also.

    dj99 is being funny...

    I'd un-install & re-install Belarc Advisor.
It shows my Windows 7 Ultimate (x64) (build 7600) correctly.

Heh heh. Windows 7 that's 6.1 kind of reminds me of DVD5 discs that hold 4.34 GB of data for some reason.

I just hope I live long enough to see Win95 the second time around.

By then we should have like fractal processors. They'll be this cluster of CPUs and inside each one another cluster until your instructions disappear into the bit bucket of another dimension. Or you get BSODs that replicate smaller and smaller when you boot up.
