    RocketDock Win7 Display Special Action

Been using Rocketdock for a couple of years under XP and loving it.

I migrated to Win7x64 and running great except for the following issue:

I cannot get any of the Icon Special Actions to work under Win7. For instance, I have selected "Display Special Action" for the My Computer icon.. Icon works fine but acts like a regular icon when Right Clicked, the Right Click Special Actions do not show. I have the same with My Network and Recycle bin.

Anyone running into the same issue ?

    Thanks

It works for me in Vista64. I don't have W7 64 bit to try it.

Thanks for the response.. Maybe I should start from scratch and reinstall RocketDock and rebuild my icons... Ive tried it on a clean Win7 install and it still does not work.

Hi. I didn't want to try it yesterday on W7 32 bit because I had a 10 hour job running. Didn't want to chance doing anything since both my cores were maxed out. I just tried it now on W7 32 bit and it worked.

    I'm running RocketDock 1.3.5

Actually, I didnt realize that it was working but not all of the Right Click options show up. Only MANAGE and OPEN appear, but none of the others which I have added through a registry edit.
I realize these are registry hack addons, but they always appeared in XP.

You may have to put additional entries in the registry to get 32 bit stuff to work. I would try to find some site that explains Windows 64 bit registry and how it works with 32 bit programs.

For instance if you search the registry for the default web browser in 32 bit you may find a couple of places where the browser is registered like for .html file types etc.. but in the 64 bit registry you'll probably see several copies of essentially the same information.

It's way too much of a kludge for me to try to figure it out.

MilesAhead, I think U may be right.. I have run into this problem before and was able to make the necessary adjustments.
I'll look into it a bit more and report back.

    Thanks
