Is anyone using Memeo AutoBackup and got it working?

    Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone is using this software and managed to get it to work with Win7 32 bit?

I spent many hours yesterday installing Win7 and then putting all my applications back on.

The main install was excellent, it found all my hardware and set it all up with no issues.

All was going fine until I installed Memeo AutoBackup, which is a main app for me, as it backs up all my files to external HDD's.

Just installing it normally seemed to go OK but then Firefox locked up and the backup crashed. Had to hold the power button in on the PC to shut down.

So I uninstalled it and then put it back on in Vista compatibility mode. This time it seemed stable and I managed to restore 1 of the backups. When I tried to restore my next backup of all my pictures, it got half way through and then crashed.

So as I need this software to work, I have had to revert back to Vista for now. Thankfully I used a different HDD for Win7, so was just case of putting the Vista HDD back in.

Gutted this one app is causing problems, as I really like Win7 over Vista.

I have emailed Memeo Customer Service, but still waiting for a reply.

    Gazza.

Have you tried MS's SkyDrive? http://www.windowslive.com/Online/SkyDrive
    It works with Firefox.
Just sign up for an account if you don't have one. :)
It has 25GB's free storage, but if you have a Google account, you can get (I think) another 25 GB's free storage.

    Hi,

Its the external storage that I use.

flac and MP3 are taking up over 200GB of external storage alone.

What I like about AutoBackup is that it monitors all changes as they happen. Been using this software for quite a while.

Shame it does not work in Win7 though, as for me its a show stopper
