    Installing Microsoft.NET

I am attempting to install Microsoft.NET Framework 3.0.

During the install process, I end up with the following pop\up message---

You must use "Turn Windows features on or oll' in the Control Panel to install or configure Microsoft.NET Framework 3.0

This is what I've done in an attempt to satisfy the request.

    Went to Control Panel

    Opened Programs and Features

Opened Turn Windows features on or off

Put a check for Windows Communication Foundation HTTP Activation, and
    Windows Communication Foundation Non-HTTP Activation.

But I still get the error message.

Apparently this is not the solution to the request.

Would appreciate someone telling me how to resolve this message.

    Thanks in advance

Which resulted in a check for Microsoft.NET Framework 3.5.1.

You HAVE .NET Framework pre-installed and non-removable if you are running a legitimate Windows 7 build.

    You Sir are an idiot...

I had to register for this just so I could post a reply to your jerky and idiotic comment....

Even if you have a legitimate version of windows, all that comes installed is .NET Framework 3.5, we are trying to download .NET Framework 3.0, which does not come preinstalled...to suggest that this person has stolen their version of windows (whether they have or not) on the basis that they do not have something that does not come preinstalled on the system is idiotic...this is why I say, You Sir are an idiot.

in the meantime if anyone has found a solution for this, please let me know....

Yep, I know it is there, and I know what to do to install, I am just running into the problem of the installation not working due to something in the features section, of course if there is a part of "Features" where this is and I am missing it, I would love to know....and would retract the comment above.
