iTunes 64-bit 9.1.1.11 Ran fine ONE time, stopped
I see several threads that reflect trouble between Win7 64-bit and iTunes 64-bit but most are too old to be reliable, so I'm posting afresh.
My rig is Windows 7 Ultimate running on an HP DC7600, 4gb.
Two days ago downloaded and ran iTunessetup64.exe, ver 9.1.1.11 from apple.
It gave no hiccups in the install. When running I pointed it to my old music stash from previous system - NTFS file system setup as Drive E:
It did a fine job of converting/adding all that stuff.
The trouble started when it tried to sync with my iPod, read it oK, but then needed to login to the iTunes store and I did not immediately have my password etc. It just stopped. didn't give any error codes that I know of.
Since then, if I try to fire it up, I get the 'run' indicator [the little wheel in my case] but nothing else. No screen ever comes up. I'm a little reluctant to monkey with it much without some guidance from one of you smartguys.
Could someone give me the steps/process?
