    MaxaMiser 1.1

I wrote a Tray hotkey called MaxaMiser to "maximize" windows in a way that didn't cover RocketDock. It leaves a gap by the TaskBar. You can download from my page here:

    Hotkeys

and read a more detailed write-up here:

    MaxaMiser 1.1 - DonationCoder.com

It's free for you to use at your own risk.

Edit: Updated to 1.3 See this link for detailed changes:

    Shift Kicker 1.1

You can download Shift Kicker from my Hotkeys Page

It's basically just a Hotkey hack. It sits in the tray. The idea is if you hold down the Shift key while clicking the mouse on a window's Maximize Button, it will maximize, then be adjusted to leave a gap next to the TaskBar. Clicking Restore Button normally with the mouse restores the old size and position.

I say it's a "hack" because technically the window has the state of "maximized" as far as Windows is concerned.. but since it's not taking up the entire desktop, it's not, in actuality.

It's just a lot simpler this way. If you don't want to fool Windows, I have other utilities that resize the window while keeping the correct state(see MaxaMiser on the same hotkey page.)

Shift Kicker is easy on memory since it doesn't have to remember the old window size and position for each window. Windows already keeps that info. Hitting the Restore Button undoes the window size change.

I'm having trouble downloading Panda USB Vaccine. After registering an account with Panda, it sends a link for free download of the software yet when clicked a site appears yet there's no option to download anything. .

What I'm looking for isn't actually the AV version of Panda Security, but rather the Panda USB Vaccine.

    Taskbar Gap 1.1.0.0

Taskbar Gap 1.1.0.0 It's a Tray Hotkey to toggle the desktop work area between "normal" settings, and one with a percentage gap next to the Taskbar.

It saves the work area setting and restores it on close.

The idea is to use the normal maximize button with windows but prevent them from covering a Toolbar next to the Taskbar, such as RocketDock or another launcher or Toolbar thingie.

You can set the PercentGap ini file option in the range 1 to 25.
Double clicking the Tray Icon or using Alt-F7 Hotkey toggles the setting.
The current setting is indicated by the Tray Icon.

Sorry but I only have a single monitor setup. I can't support multiple monitors.
It's free for you to use at your own risk. You may download here:

edit: updated to 1.2.0.0 Now by default Taskbar Gap adjusts the work area on startup. It still saves the initial state and restores it on program exit. This way you can put a shortcut in the StartUp folder and forget about it. Set ToggleAtStart=0 in TaskbarGap.ini to use the old behavior of doing nothing until you click on it.

edit2: updated to 1.3.0.0 Added Change Gap command to Tray Menu. More convenient than editing .ini file.

Important Update: 1.4.0.0 Now detects screen resolution change. If you are using Taskbar Gap please update to the latest version.
