I've been using this since Win98 days. Still appears to work perfectly in current versions, including 7000, 7068 and 7077.

Windows 7 32 bit
Yet Another Explorer Folder Monitor

Folder Cache 1.5

I guess I'm stubborn. I kept creating these MRU lists for Explorer folders until I came up with one I really like to use. This one sits in the Tray and watches for explorer folder windows. You hit Shift-PgUp hotkey and a window comes up with the recent folders in MRU order.

What makes this one different than others I've done is I made the window wide so that long paths can be read without horizontal scrolling. Because the window isn't open all the time the size isn't a hindrance. Unfortunately some UI that we take for granted cannot be implemented easily on this window. Pressing Enter doesn't launch selections nor does double-clicking the mouse. But pressing the button or right clicking the mouse in the list does. Once you use it a few times I think you will like popping it up with the hotkey. If the hotkey is already in use you can still double click the Tray Icon to open the window.

Also at least in my res on my monitor, 24 folders sits nicely in the list without vertical scrolling. There's a spin button to adjust the max folders in the range 16 to 64. Folder names are saved to a file in the same folder as the exe on close, and read back in on startup.

Multiple items can be selected. When launched the window is destroyed.
Here's a screen shot of the Folder Cache window.

btw if you get a false positive with an av program, see the readme file. It's a compiled AutoIt3 script so that's the reason.

Enjoy. :)

Edit: oh btw I've tried it on W7 32 bit, Vista 64 bit and XP Pro 32 bit. It's compiled AutoIt3 script so it should run on most any windows XP or newer.
