thanks for the explanation, pretty much what I thought.
I respect very much the idea of a list of programs you personally test and recommend. May I ask why Cerberus FTP Server never made it on the list? Was it because you already have a ftp server installed and aren't willing to disable it to test, or may be you have no remote machine to test it on, or it was just rejected? Also, the fact there is no update log, it is unclear what was added based on a suggestion and what wasn't. As an example, before posting 3 suggestions (mydefrag, privatefirewall, cerberus ftp server), I thought I had checked the list and thought they weren't there. A few minutes after I posted, 2 of them were in the list, and I became confused as to whether I had checked in the right list or not before posting. If they were already there, my apologies, I didn't mean to double post. I might have gotten confused because I was sending suggestions to the x64 thread at the same time :). |

Hi,
Thanks for the list, it's grandiozo... Complaining "Rainbow Folders" - it has a huge problem with displaying Large Folder Icons. You should put a note: I wouldn't install it if I knew this info. Cheers, |

Hello SuperFreak, and welcome to Seven Forums.
What did it do when you tried to display large folder icons? |

It just shows the folder icon small or medium size (instead of large), don't remember, cause I deleted the program right after that - but it was clearly visible smaller; smaller than the other icons in the surrounding, I remember it...

Marxio File Checksum Verifier : http://www.marxio-tools.net/en/marxio-fcv.php Great portable app to compare the checksums of 2 files. It can install/uninstall shell integration as well. |

Great free copy/move app I really like this free app. (but find the latest beta version works better in 7. There is a paid pro version that adds little that the free version doesn't have.
