    Email programs

I don't know if anyone has suggested these programs for email, Mailwasher free and Pegasus mail. I have used them for years and both have been updated recently.

    Mailwasher Free
Use this powerful spam blocker software to effectively stop email spam. Discover the safe way to stop unwanted e-mails before they get to your computer.

    Pegasus Mail
Pegasus Mail: Pegasus Mail is a free, standards-based electronic mail client suitable for use by single or multiple users on single computers or on local area networks. A proven product, it has served millions of users since it was released in 1990. It is extremely feature-rich and powerful, yet remains small and fast.

I used Pegasus Mail for years and years. I finally gave in switched to Thunderbird. But I used Pegasus on every Windows machine I had with less than a GB ram. Nice to see it's still being developed.

Not exactly a "program" but I've noticed a lot of interesting free True Type Fonts popping up on Softpedia lately. Just go to the main page:
    Free Downloads Encyclopedia - Softpedia

and do a search on TTF. Lately there are a bunch of cool fonts with names starting with 'R'. I found RayGun true type font pretty cool in EditPad Lite editor.

edit: Usually all you need to do for Vista or W7 is right click the font file and click Install.

edit2: take a look at "39smooth" true type font!! I really like this one!! Very smooth!!

sike - send files to recycle bin via command prompt

This is another one of mine. It's a command line program to send files or folders to the recycle bin.

You can download from my page:

    Faves Downloads

Just copy sike.exe to a folder in your Path.

It does not create any files, registry or
.ini file settings. Should be good for
    a USB key.

It should run on any flavor of Windows that
the latest AutoIt3 release runs on.

See the included Readme for particulars.

    Photo! Editor

Its a very good free picture editor program. Not perfect but has done quite an excellent job for me. I used it as a replacement for Windows Live Photo Gallery.

It has the ability to remove red eye, crop, adjust coloring, resize, denoise, deblur, beautify, adjust lighting and even warp parts of the picture.

You also have the ability to save the edited picture as a new file or let it overwrite the original. Their website also offers services for enhancing photos, I think.

Startup Control Panel is a nifty control panel applet that allows you to easily configure which programs run when your computer starts. It's simple to use and, like all my programs, it's very small and won't burden your system.

StartupMonitor is a small utility that runs transparently (it doesn't even use a tray icon) and notifies you when any program registers itself to run at system startup. It prevents annoying programs from registering themselves behind your back.
StartupMonitor does not require Startup Control Panel, but it complements it nicely. When you choose not to allow a program to register itself, the program's entry becomes disabled in Startup Control Panel, so you can go back and enable it later if necessary. StartupMonitor watches the Start Menu's Startup folders and the Run entries in the registry.

Both programs work in Windows 7 x32 and x64 with no problems.
