    Brian,
    This is FOR EVERYONE'S INFORMATION!

    In the Software Thread category, I do a daily review and post of Giveaway of the day.
    Most of the time if they are Rated 50% or lower(Thumbs UP) I don't post them.
    The "Free" software they are giving away is mostly junk. If it has any value I will post and show rating and follow with Read Comments and let the member decide if it is something they want to try it.
    It is on rare occasion that they give anything away that is useful. IMHO

    Perfect Automation provides the best choice in work automation and great time saving features. This software will help you to increase your productivity, save you time and money. You can use Perfect Automation as a launcher, a scheduler, a mouse & keyboard recorder and a powerful script editor. You do not need to install and use four different applications. Agree with you Howling Wolves what you said but at times user's ratings may not give the real picture as 1 might expect tooo much from the apps but if not delivered then he/she may rate it low but if i like it i may rate it high...e.g. when i first tried KMP its rating wasn't high but i have been using for the last 2 yrs & i like it...

    SrtStrip

    Here's a small utility for the Windows command line that removes one character angle bracket tags(such as italic <i> and </i>) from .srt subtitle files.

    It's just a small AutoHotKey program. Here's the source

    Code:
    If 0 < 1
    {
    	MsgBox, 64, SrtStrip Usage, SrtStrip Copyright (c) 2010 www.FavesSoft.com`n`nUsage: SrtStrip filename`n`nOutput is filename with .strip extension stripped of <> tags
    	ExitApp
    }

    InFile := %0%
    OutFile := InFile . ".strip"
    Loop, read, %InFile%,%OutFile%
    {
        result := RegExReplace(A_LoopReadLine,"<.>")
    	result := RegExReplace(result,"</.>")
    	FileAppend,%result%`n
    }
    or you can download the compiled exe from my page here:

    Faves Downloads

    Just search for SrtStrip

    To process an entire folder full of .srt file, make sure SrtStrip.exe is in a folder that's in your PATH. Open a command prompt in the folder with the .srt files. Run this command:

    for %s in (*.srt) do SrtStrip %s

    for every filename.srt you had now you will also have a filename.srt.strip

    The original is not changed. Just move the .strip files to another folder and use a renamer to chop the .strip extension off. Someone on another forum asked me for this and I hate seeing those <i> tags in the dialog anyway.

    That's all it does. No bells, no whistles.
