i can't help you with your PSI secunia - sorry i've not even heard of it

but i can recommend a superior pdf viewer - foxit reader - it's free, and liter, faster and possibly more secure than adobe bloatware reader.

I used to be a strong advocate of Foxit. That is until I found it installed a service which was always running. This service used to send messages which as a gamer I didnt need the interruptions.

So Im afraid Ive ditched foxit in favour of Reader. I prefer to keep the number of processes down as much as possible and this one was unnecessary.

Am I alone in finding PSI Secunia a complete PITA?
    It's insatiable.
It keeps teling me I've got insecure programs, mainly Adobe Reader and Firefox.
When I click the "download solution" button I get a fresh install.
After installing I now have another instance of insecure Adobe Reader.
    I now have five!
All it seems to do is make me anxious about things to which there are no solutions.
    Any comments on this?

    John
I gave up on this program a long time ago.
I had similar problems and found the program more annoying than useful.

A good internet security suite and maybe run Malwarebytes anti-malware has kept me out of trouble.

"Manage all your existing IM, email, and social network accounts from one easy to use application."
very handy application for those of us with multiple IM accounts, Facebook, Twitter And multiple Email address's.

I have been using it since RC7100, currently works on 7260 very well.
Thanks for posting this! I was looking for an alternative to AIM since that installs so much useless crap on your computer; this is perfect.

Vista Shortcut Remover is only available via mirrors, original site is dead.

List of mirrors: vista shortcut remover - Google Search

Vista Firewall Control is now archived, the author has developed Windows 7 Firewall Control, which has both a free version and a paid version, and portable free and paid versions also.

    Cerberus FTP Server: http://www.cerberusftp.com/

tested on windows 7 and free for personal use. Was a breeze to install and set, you'll most probably prefer this over native windows 7 ftp server. (not free)

    Privatefirewall: http://www.privacyware.com/personal_firewall.html

Recently made a freeware, used to be a shareware. Definitely an upgrade over native windows 7 firewall.

    MyDefrag: http://www.mydefrag.com/

Replaces JkDefrag, highly recommended, installs and detects if you have x86 or x64 windows, contains both versions.
