A little web app, ConvertIcon, by the developers of rocketdock. Just click on Useapp, converts png, gif, jpeg into an icon or png. Different size options and works with pretty good quality.

Two programs i used for a long time and very useful in 7:
-Deluge BitTorrent Client: a Bittorrent client good for throttled bandwidth, and have many good features.
-ExplorerXP: As the name indicates, designed for windows xp and no update since September 2005.
Working great on windows seven as windows explorer emergency replacement, and Have good features like directory size realtime calculation, crawl inside protected folders without changing the security, batch rename, and many more.
    cheers.

I've always been a nut for properly tagging my Music files with the appropriate ID3v2 metatags, and since Vista, I've been doing the same with my picture file too.

I've never been able to do this with video files, untill I found abcAVI Tag Editor, a great utility for tagging AVI video files:

abcAVI Tag Editor is little stand alone utility for viewing/editing tags in AVI files. In short it allows you to get information on movie from Internet Movie Database or type it by yourself and save that info inside AVI file. Supports RIFF INFO tags, MovieID tags, IDivX tags. Allows editing more than 40 tags, not only "Title", "Subject" and "Copyright". Support of RIFF INFO tags ensures backward compatibility with standard Windows players like MS Media Player.
It was last updated 19 October 2005, but still works great on Vista and Windows 7. I was curious though if anyone knows of a similar utility that is still actively being updated by the developers?

You can add LMMS(Linux MultiMedia Studio) to the list.
"LMMS is a free cross-platform alternative to commercial programs like FL Studio®, which allow you to produce music with your computer."
It was originally created for Linux, however, they have made it so it runs on Windows 98SE/ME/2000/XP/Vista/7.

VirusTotal Uploader. - VirusTotal - Free Online Virus and Malware Scan - Email/Uploader

ok, I know it's not much of a program, but it's very useful.

VirusTotal Uploader enables you to directly send files from your system using the context menu to virustotal.com which is popular site which scans files with 40 AV products.

It supports both x64 and x86 systems.
    It has functions like:
    1. sending executebles (exe files) of running processes
    2. Download and scan files on download link.
    3. Checking by HASH key if it already been uploaded by another use which will give you option to see that result without upload or upload anyway.
