    GlassPrompt 1.1

    GlassPrompt 1.1

GlassPrompt just opens a cmd.exe prompt and enables the "blur behind" effect if you are running Vista or Windows Seven with Glass enabled.

It uses the same mechanism as my PromptHere program but it's compiled in FreeBasic resulting in a 32 bit stand-alone exe less than 25 KB in size. Also it does not run in the background. It launches a command prompt, then quits.
No install. Does not do any Registry or .ini file settings.

You can download from my page:

It's free for you to use at your own risk.

    FreeBASIC

Speaking of FreeBASIC .. they just released a new version of the compiler and help docs. If you ever wanted to learn to program in Basic it may be a fun way to try. On Windows it produces 32 bit stand-alone exe files that are very small. In is also implemented on Dos and Linux.

Any remote chance of an x64 version? LOL.

I'm trying out this WindowsMenuPlus. It looks like it has potential. I suggested they add more positions to the command that moves the window without resizing it.. but it has a few useful commands it adds to the System Menu of any window that has one.

The site also has other freebies. This is the first one I'm trying as I just noticed it mentioned on Addictive Tips. Here's the page for the program:

    TicTac

I wanted a simple way to position the active window without resizing it. So I wrote an AutoIt3 program called TicTac.

    You can download here:
    Hotkeys

    Usage:

Leave it running in the Tray. To position the active window at a "tic tac toe" location, use the Windows Key and a Numperpad Key 1 - 9. The positions correspond visually to the number pad keys:

    7 | 8 | 9
    4 | 5 | 6
    1 | 2 | 3

To put the active window into the lower right corner, press Win Numpad 3 etc..

Should work on XP and later. Sorry I don't have multiple monitors for testing so it's only set up for a single monitor system.

I wrote it for my own use. It's free for you to use at your own risk.
