GnuPG plugin for Outlook 2010 on Win7

Gpg4win - Download Gpg4win works with Office 2007, but sadly NOT with Outlook 2010! GPG claims they do NOT plan to provide support for Outlook 2010 too!

Obviously, Microsoft hasn't wanted to provide "open source code" in their proprietary program. Despite S/MIME being included since Windows 95 in Outlook Express.

There is however another solution, PGP, but that isn't FREE and it's also a proprietary program.

If anyone wants to use the S/MIME, it encrypts both the message body and attachments, without the need of later viewing as plain text, you can generate your own certificates (public and private keys) and share your certificate authority as a p7b (so your private key isn't given away) to authenticate your user certificate by using the following free open source solution here; SimpleCA

Now I know how PGP keeps making money even though OpenPGP and GPG are widely used and widely available alternatives. No one else has figured out (or bothered to figure out) how to seamlessly integrate with Outlook.

Some good news, Cumps Consulting » Blog David Cumps has release the source code of his binary that works in Outlook 2007 under Windows XP, should anyone want to compile it for Outlook 2010 for W7?
