    WORKS Spreasdsheet Problem - UPDATE

    O R I G I N A L P O S T
In another thread, I followed a suggestion to do as a Tutorial directed, adding something to the Registry. This is the Tutorial:

Context Menu - Add Copy To Folder and Move To Folder

After doing that, when I try to open a WORKS Spreadsheet I get the following error message. When I click OK, the Spreadsheet opens, but it's empty - all the data has disappeared.

I copied one of those WORKS Spreadsheets onto a flash drive, then opened it and all the data was there.
Then I re-named it and put it back into the original folder and got the same error message when trying to open it.

I have a couple of problems with that.
First, I seldom open those spreadsheets so I don't know what date to use.
Second. I tried that yesterday - 3 times.

Tried just now again. I set the new Restore Point to 7/5/2010 5:00AM.
It did its thing and here's the resulting message.
"System Restore completed successfully. The system has been restored to 7/9/2010 9:11:16 AM. Your documents have not been affected."

    Now what?

If you right click -> properties on the file, do you have anything listed on the previous versions tab?

Checked two spreadsheets - no previous versions available.

But how does that relate to my initial post UPDATE?
