So I want to run Malware Bytes..

Currently I have MSE installed on Windows 7

Am I right in thinking that I can install malware bytes, and I can run it from time to time without it conflicting with Microsoft Security Essentials?

Yes, in fact you will have what I have. Its great and no problems. I have the paid version of MB (won it) it runs on schedule and not one problem. I know you will like it. The free is all that is needed, however.

    Thanks very much :)

So I can just run it ever so often with MSE running as normal? :)

    That's good

Thanks for the rep and kind words.

Not only having both is not a problem, but you should have both. MSE comes up clean and MB will find problems. MB is just for malware (not virus) and is good at what it does.

    Run it whenever you please.

Just a word of warning, dont forget, common sense is part of the mix to avoid malware.

+1 for MWB. I've been using the free version for scans for awhile now. It usually updates the database several times a day. Plus it's not overly aggressive. A good tool.

Well, if you're going to be that way about it, I'll be generous but not nice from now on!!

Oh, wait a second.. I can't afford to be generous so I guess I have to be nice! Dratt!!
