    CyberLink’s TrueTheater

A Blu Ray combo drive that I'm considering comes with this software bundled with it. I'm wondering just how true the statement below is, and if the upscaling will also cause a video to fill the screen?

CyberLink’s TrueTheater™ HD technology, you can easily boost DVD video and audio quality to achieve HD-like results and smoother playback. The software turns standard content into HD-quality images, by upscaling video resolution from 480p to 1080p. You can now enjoy high definition movies on your PC-based home theater.

I'm very skeptical of this comment for the simple fact that standard dvd and bd are scaled and resolution lines are completely different.
Having a dvd source play with picture quality of HD/BD uses an upsale trick by increasing picture ratio and brightness.
