iTunes on RC 64 bit prompts EULA

I just wanted to report an issue I was having with iTunes, not TOO big of a deal since it still works. But here and there when I open the program it prompts me to Agree to the End User License Agreement and then proceeds to open the program. The only time I have ever run across this was right after I installed the program and if in any circumstance my iTunes Library was lost. Fortunately when the program loads soon after it does show my entire library. This has happened to me at random about 3 times and is not every time.

    Anyone else having this issue?

I am using RC (64 bit).

I had a problem during loading; it got about 80% loaded then locked up. Rebooted then reloaded, now it is working fine. Attempted to see if it was possible to create your situation, albeit couldn't. Might try reloading. Can't think of anything else.

I installed the 64 bit iTunes on Windows 7 and it worked fine until I tried to sync it to my iPod. Once I did that the speakers let out a squeal, the CPU usage jumped up to 90+% on both cores of my 2.8Ghz AMD CPU and the iPod ejected from the computer on it's own then Windows locked up. After I rebooted it all the icons were gone from my desktop and I haven't been able to get them back since.

The same thing happened every time I attempted to sync my iPod afterward until I used the compatibility mode on iTunes, iTuneshelper and the ipodservice executables and set them all to Vista SP1. Since then the iPod syncs just fine and I haven't had a problem with it. When I start iTunes it complains about being in compatibility mode but it runs fine. Still missing my desktop icons but otherwise everything seems to work. I'm going to reinstall everything tomorrow and set it all up that way from the beginning.

Enzo - Could you link to the version of iTunes x64 that you downloaded and installed? Are you running it in a compat mode?

yeah, id love to, although for some unknown reason theres no option for itunes x64 on the site, there used to be a scroll menu with vista x64 :S, and no im not running in compat mode..

Apple - iTunes - Download iTunes

Really? Because when I go to the site you linked it gives me an option for "Windows XP or Vista" and right below that "Windows (64-bit)".

It matters very little anyway since iTunes itself is not a 64-bit app. The only thing the 64-bit option does is give you a 64-bit installer to install the 32-bit iTunes and Quicktime apps.

i dunno...uploading an installer on RapidShare when you can just download from http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

fishy, especially when the website states 8.1 is latest. and when "checking for updates" on iTunes, it says I have the up-to-date one.
